As a Business Development Manager, you will have the opportunity to work with a passionate team of software engineers, scientists and academics who are dedicated to designing high-performing software solutions for innovative applications.


The Business Development Manager develops new business in an assigned geography or vertical by introducing and adapting our engineering solutions into customers’ R&D engineering workflows and product development. Where the route to market is direct, the BDM is responsible for all the business and sales activities within the full sales cycle (lead generation to close and initial implementation success), prior to handing over to account management. Where the route to market is indirect, the BDM will work with distribution partners to maximize new sales. A successful BDM will help us maximize market penetration and growth within new customers, geographies and verticals.​

What you will be doing:

  • Perform business development activities to win new customers in the assigned geography/verticals
  • Build and expand new relationships; communicate the value of and the positive business outcomes of using our solutions
  • Coordinate business development success with marketing, sales management, application engineering and partners
  • Participate in conferences, tradeshows and consortia
  • Find, build and lead new strategic partnerships that can be leveraged for business development in a vertical or geography
  • Provides sales forecasts to management.

What do we need from you?

  • 2-3 years successful experience in technical software sales with engineering degree (Master’s level preferred). Additional business studies such as an MBA are a plus
  • Excellent communication in English. Additional languages are a big plus (Italian, French, German, Arabic)
  • Knowledge of the customers, territory or CAD/CAE with emphasis on thermal-fluid engineering
  • Travel up to 20%, but this might increase.
