About the role
As a Senior Application Engineer at ToffeeX, you will be the technical, go-to expert for our customers, guiding them in leveraging ToffeeX solutions to achieve their design and performance goals. You will support our users in solving advanced engineering problems, integrating ToffeeX into their CAE workflows, and adopting best practices in simulation and optimization.

You will also collaborate with our internal product, R&D, and customer success teams, playing an active role in shaping future software features and contributing to the growth of ToffeeX. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead advanced customer projects, from requirements gathering to solution delivery, ensuring technical excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Tackle complex engineering problems, troubleshoot technical issues, and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Mentor and train customers in advanced features, best practices, and optimization techniques.
  • Work cross-functionally with product, R&D, and customer success teams to relay customer feedback and influence product direction.
  • Develop technical resources, case studies, and present at industry conferences or workshops.
  • Contribute to the R&D team to test and evaluate the usability of new software’s features and functionalities.
  • Travel to attend exhibition or visit customers in UK, Europe or globally (up to 20% of the time)

Requirements

  • Master’s or PhD in Engineering or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in advanced CAE/CFD simulations, or technical consulting.
  • Deep expertise in multi-physics simulations, optimization, and workflow integration.
  • Experience developing technical resources and presenting at industry conferences or workshops.
  • Experience with CFD analyses for internal flow problems (proficiency in open-source tools is a plus).
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, post-process, and debug CFD simulations, both independently and collaboratively.
  • Solid understanding of heat transfer principles. Experience with thermal design for cooling across various industries is a plus.
  • Proficiency in scripting or programming (Python, C++) is a plus.
  • CAD knowledge (Fusion360 preferred)
  • Preferred knowledge of 3D modelling software such as Blender and MeshMixer.
