  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the technical requirements and functional specifications of the robotic systems.
  • Design and implement control strategies and logic for optimal equipment performance, including motion control, sensor integration, and communication interfaces.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging of PLC programs to ensure accuracy, reliability, and adherence to project specifications.
  • Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to integrate PLC systems with robotic components, sensors, and other hardware.
  • Perform system analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of PLC-related issues during equipment commissioning and maintenance.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, advancements, and best practices in PLC programming and automation technologies.
  • Document and maintain comprehensive records of PLC programs, modifications, and system configurations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during the design and implementation of PLC systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven work experience as a PLC Programmer, preferably in an industrial automation or robotics environment.
  • Strong proficiency in programming and configuring PLC systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi). (bonus points for Mitsubishi PLC experience)
  • In-depth knowledge of PLC programming languages (e.g., ladder logic, structured text) and related software tools (e.g., TIA Portal, RSLogix).
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Modbus) and their implementation.
  • Experience in motion control programming, servo drive integration, and sensor integration is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and debugging PLC systems, analyzing system performance, and implementing corrective measures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate and reliable programming.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet project deadlines.
  • Joining Robotire as a PLC Programmer provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of state-of-the-art automated tire-changing solutions and shape the future of the industry. If you have a passion for automation, robotics, and PLC programming, we welcome your application.
