Overview

As an Accountant / Bookkeeper, you will have primary responsibility for maintaining company financial records as well as a variety of other accounting and finance functions.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes including but not limited to: A/P, A/R, purchasing, journal entries, and bank reconciliation in accordance with GAAP.
• Drive closing processes and produce regular reports, including financial statements and budget performance, for management insight & investor communication.
• Manage extended accounting/finance record-keeping within the company.
• Oversee/review/verify performance of external payroll provider.
• Process employee expense reimbursement reports and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Coordinate with external vendors and consultants to ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
• Assess current practices and procedures and make recommendations for improvements. Document Radian accounting and bookkeeping procedures.
• Drive compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions
• Make updates to the company Cap Table in Carta.
• Assist with budget creation.
• Assist with tax compliance.
• Assist with cost estimation activities.
• Help with year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit.
• Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Xero strongly preferred).
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles (GAAP / SFAS)
• Proficient in Excel
• Desirable: Familiarity interfacing with a foreign subsidiary

Eligibility

• To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
