Overview

As an Accountant / Bookkeeper, you will have primary responsibility for maintaining company financial records as well as a variety of other accounting and finance functions.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes including but not limited to: A/P, A/R, purchasing, journal entries, and bank reconciliation in accordance with GAAP.
- Drive closing processes and produce regular reports, including financial statements and budget performance, for management insight & investor communication.
- Manage extended accounting/finance record-keeping within the company.
- Oversee/review/verify performance of external payroll provider.
- Process employee expense reimbursement reports and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Coordinate with external vendors and consultants to ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Assess current practices and procedures and make recommendations for improvements. Document Radian accounting and bookkeeping procedures.
- Drive compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions
- Make updates to the company Cap Table in Carta.
- Assist with budget creation.
- Assist with tax compliance.
- Assist with cost estimation activities.
- Help with year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit.
- Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Xero strongly preferred).
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles (GAAP / SFAS)
- Proficient in Excel
- Desirable: Familiarity interfacing with a foreign subsidiary

Eligibility
- To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
