Overview

As a Strategy and Research Analyst, you will provide high-quality research, analysis, and strategic insights to support executive decision-making. This role transforms open-ended business questions into structured findings, develops lightweight financial and operational models, and delivers polished, executive-ready materials. The Analyst will work closely with senior leadership, including the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO), to inform strategy, operations, and growth initiatives across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct targeted research and prepare concise briefs on markets, competitors, suppliers, prospects, and policy or regulatory topics.
  • Build and maintain lightweight Excel models and scenario tables to evaluate pricing, costs, and unit economics.
  • Translate complex analysis into clear, compelling PowerPoint presentations, charts, and one-page summaries following company templates and branding standards.
  • Standardize data sources, assumptions, and references into a reusable knowledge library.
  • Partner with senior leadership to prioritize research requests, define key hypotheses, and deliver timely, actionable insights.

Role Expectations & Additional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 0–3 years of experience in consulting, banking, equity research, FP&A, business operations, or a similar analytical role.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookup functions (VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH), and basic scenario/sensitivity analysis.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills, with the ability to design professional, visually clean presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct both qualitative and quantitative research and communicate findings clearly in writing.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing ambiguity, and shifting between priorities.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense-adjacent, manufacturing, deep tech, or other regulated industries.
  • Exposure to pricing analysis, vendor assessments, or cost modeling.
  • Basic data handling or programming familiarity (e.g., cleaning CSVs, creating visualizations, or using Python).

  • To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
