Are you ready to lead project management efforts that expand the frontiers of space exploration with cutting-edge space robotics? Lunar Outpost Oceania is seeking a talented, experienced Project Manager to join our fast-paced, dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in leading and coordinating cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines.

Your expertise will contribute to groundbreaking projects in lunar mobility and space capability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and track all aspects of project lifecycles, including defining project scope, developing project proposals, plans and schedules, and establishing project goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement and other cross-functional teams, suppliers and contractors to achieve project milestones and meet delivery deadlines.
  • Manage project budgets, resources and risks, and provide regular progress updates and recommendations to facilitate decision-making and resource allocation.
  • Manage project and procurement scheduling, shipment receipt, and inventory tracking.
  • Manage subcontractor performance and delivery against agreed Statements of Work, and coordinate with the team to ensure subcontractor material fits the relevant program and system.
  • Support a high performing team culture by establishing and maintaining strong and effective engagement with the engineering teams.
  • Navigate conflicting priorities and project delivery issues, seeking effective resolutions to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Effectively communicate project statuses, issues, reports, and resolutions to important stakeholders, customers and suppliers.
  • Ensure project documentation is accurate and in compliance with industry standards, regulations, and requirements.
  • Define reporting requirements for project partners and engineering disciplines for presentation to company leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Lead project reviews, encourage feedback and recommendations from the team, and identify opportunities to improve project delivery performance.
  • Share your expertise to mentor and develop junior team members and foster their professional growth.

Required Qualifications:

  • PMP Certification.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management or project engineering, with a track record of successfully delivering engineering design, build and modification projects in robotics, mechanical, space, aerospace, defence, manufacturing or automotive environments.
  • Proven experience engaging directly with stakeholders, adept at building strong relationships with clients, contractors and internal teams.
  • Exceptional organisation and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with a focus on finding innovative solutions and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to focus on details and technicalities while simultaneously retaining a comprehensive vision of the big program picture.
  • Deep commitment to safety and quality.
  • Proficient in the use of project management software, e.g. Procore, MS Project,Confluence, Jira, Word, Excel and tools to plan, monitor and report on project progress.



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in systems, electrical, or mechanical engineering or related field.
  • Understanding of space industry regulations, specifications and best practice.
  • Agile and Waterfall project management experience.
  • Experience working in a startup environment.
