Brelyon is an early-stage startup introducing the first-ever, headset-free virtual display to replace multi-monitors in high-bandwidth applications like teleoperation, data visualization, and simulation training. The technology uses novel physics along with computational display techniques to create depth and panorama, emulating an IMAX-like experience in a 32” monitor form factor. Our goal is to amplify the human-computer experience by designing around light and the visual experience of displays. We have already shipped hundreds of units around the world and continue to focus on early adopting markets.

Our HQ is in Silicon Valley and our manufacturing site is in Taichung, Taiwan. We are looking for an experienced director of supply chain. This is a role with a great opportunity to lead a small team in Taichung, making sure components are supplied in a timely manner; optimizing risk and cost. This is a full-time, on-site job; this position does not offer remote work flexibility.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage and instruct optics, displays, electronics, and mechanical parts suppliers.
• Develop a robust supply chain strategy and network to ensure smooth production.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and nurture a vast network of suppliers.
• Analyze shipping and delivery data with an eye for optimization and risk management for the supply chain.
• Negotiating terms, discounts, rebates, and other contractual agreements with suppliers.
• Developing and maintaining supplier performance metrics, reporting, and taking necessary actions for underperforming suppliers.
• Execute supply-chain routine items such as: monitoring inventory, coordinating shipping logistics, ensuring accurate documentation, preparing reports on supply chain performance, communicating with stakeholders, enforce adherence to quality and safety standards
• Travel domestically and internationally to ensure smooth delivery of parts,

Job Requirements:

• Excellent communicator in spoken and written English.
• Has an existing strong supplier network with 3+ years in at least one industry, including sensors, optics, displays, cameras, or scanners.
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent problem-solving mindset
• Excellent planning and negotiation skills
• Confident communication with employees and customers at all levels
• Proven commercial experience, including purchasing and supply chain expertise
• Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, CIPS qualified.

Nice to Haves:

• Understanding of distribution and logistics
• Experience in AR/VR or displays industry
• Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software like Oracle, Sage, etc.
• Insight into economic conditions and market dynamics in consumer electronics industry
• Proven track record on Project Management, e.g. PMP certifications etc.
• Interest in innovative technologies, such as automation software
• Comfort with leading and training employees
• Familiarity with AS9100/ISO9001 quality systems.
