As we gear up to scale our operations, we are seeking an Application Sales Engineer to join our team, playing a pivotal role in our business expansion. Collaborating closely with our dynamic business team, you'll be at the forefront of understanding client needs, tailoring solutions, and finalizing deals, particularly within Automotive, Defense, and other Enterprise sectors. The Application Sales Engineer will be responsible for strategically assessing client requirements, crafting customized solutions, and effectively communicating the value proposition of our technology. This role demands strong technical acumen, adeptness in understanding client workflows, and the ability to translate technical capabilities into tangible benefits for clients. Candidates should possess a deep understanding of display and hardware technology sales, along with proficiency in negotiating licensing agreements. We seek an individual with a proven track record in sales engineering and substantial experience in enterprise sales dynamics.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop sales opportunities, trial opportunities, and program integration opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; preparing sales and marketing materials; building reports; providing technical information and explanations; organizing and coordinating sales visits and meetings; attending and presenting at events, shows, and conferences; preparing and presenting proposals and quotations.
  • Manage client correspondence and pitch proposals for different programs or opportunities.
  • Track, review, and communicate sales performance to the executive team.
  • Give technical demonstrations, training, and presentations to help clients discover and understand products/services.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline related to physics/math/computer science or technical sales experience or background in DoD/Automotive required.

  • Strong written and spoked communication skills and presentation skills.
  • Strong technical skills, research and analytical skills, and data entry skills.
  • Prospecting, relationship-building, negotiating, closing, and relationship management skills.
  • Creative, strategic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication/interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain clearly, listen to the feedback of clients, and relay this to colleagues in dialogs and talks.
  • Customer-focused and passionate about customer development.
  • Proficient use of MS Word, PPT, and Excel.
  • Some travel is necessary.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Brelyon in the US and with DoD.

Nice to Haves:

Experience in hardware, display technology, or consumer electronics.

  • Familiarity with AR/VR and/or display/sensor/imaging technologies.
  • Experience in defense, automotive, aviation, industrial, or data visualization solutions.
  • Experience with CRM tools and lead-generation resources.
  • Multiple languages.
